Once refurbishment of the Van Gogh Museum has been completed, many of Van Gogh's outstanding works will be brought together in a special exhibition, to mark the conclusion of eight years’ research into the artist’s methods and the 160th anniversary of his birth. So this momentous anniversary show will provide an exceptionally fine overview of Van Gogh’s multi-faceted oeuvre.
For more than a century people all over the world have been fascinated by the life and work of Vincent van Gogh. The anniversary exhibition Van Gogh at work will show how, in just ten years, Van Gogh developed into a unique artist with an impressive body of work. The exhibition is the culmination of a long-term research project into the artist’s methods, Van Gogh’s studio practice.
